Single dental implants
A single implant replaces one tooth that has been lost or removed, without involving the teeth either side of it.
The titanium post is placed into the jaw under local anaesthetic and then left to heal. Over the following months the bone grows around and bonds to the post, which is what gives an implant its strength. Once that has happened, a small connector called an abutment is attached, and the tooth is ready for its crown. For patients who feel anxious about the placement appointment, sedation is available.

Once the implant has integrated, we take a mould and send it to our dental laboratory. The crown is made to match the colour of the teeth beside it, then secured onto the implant.
